Screen Details & Volume Charts

As an innovator of anilox screen design we have helped develop flexographic printing in the label, packaging and corrugated board sectors of the industry.

Anilox sleeves and rollers are the heart of the flexography process and you need to have a supplier who will listen and act on your requirements. We have developed our “Gem” range of engravings to meet the demands of the various markets in the flexographic printing world.

Opal” anilox screens are a fantastic development and are being used extensively by the offset printer for UV over varnish for high gloss finishes as well as pearlescent and mica loaded inks, but this special anilox screen was originally developed for high opacity white inks in a single pass for which it is recognised as the leader.

Emerald” anilox engravings are a range of screens developed for the tissue and corrugated board printer. These screens can deliver a high volume of ink without the inherent problem of plugging cells because they are designed to have a large surface area and a shallow depth making them stay open on the press during the print run and easier to clean during the wash up cycle.

Ruby” anilox screens are a development for printing a mid range of tonal work as well as large block solids on the same plate. This is particularly useful in some sack and polythene work.

Diamond” anilox rollers are the standard 30° 60° 45° engraving angles all flexo printers are familiar with. We have taken this a stage further by adding a 4 gas to the laser and this improves the surface finish and cavity of the cell. In the higher range of the anilox cell count we can improve volume by 15% in a like for like anilox cell count.

Amber” anilox rollers are for the UV label printer and are guaranteed to reduce or eliminate altogether the spitting problem associated with closed cell 30° 60°  screen angles. This anilox development cuts a channel between each cell and this enables the UV ink to migrate easily to the substrate.
