Laser Technology

When purchasing our 1st laser we looked at what equipment was available and more critically we also looked at who had the best reputation as an anilox supplier for consistent quality and why. It is no coincidence that the highest quality anilox engravings are achieved by the most expensive equipment to buy, the leading European and American suppliers run with Zed Cellmaster laser equipment linked to NAT optic technology

NAT optic technology (New Anilox Technology) is a method of manipulating the laser beam to track the rotation of the roller surface. This enables all available power to engrave the cell cleanly and consistently. We now have three lasers, two of which are NAT enabled. They are capable of engraving upto 1200 lpi (470L/cm) and the 3rd laser has unique software for engraving course screens for specialist applications.

We have a policy of constantly upgrading the lasers for the latest software and in 2009 installed the latest fibreoptic laser technology available for high line count rollers mainly used in the label industry which will give us the ability to engrave anilox screens above 1500 lpi (590L/cm).

Our four laser engraving machines incorporate the latest ZED Cellmaster NAT head engraving and FibreOptic technology. The patented NAT system is CO2 based using a unique pulse method ensuring maximum consistency during the laser engraving process. Our capacity allows us to accommodate rollers up to 5500mm in overall length and 500mm.
