Coating Technology
Our anilox roller and sleeve coating has to be of the highest quality to achieve the best results from the lasers optics. In 2010 we installed the latest German manufactured GTV Plasma 1000 system.
This is a step beyond the conventional plasma system that relies on a single anode and cathode as the power to super melt the ceramic powder used as the anilox surface.
Porosity is reduced to about 1% and the hardness goes from 1300 to 1600 Vickers prior to engraving.
Incorporating our own ceramic sealing and preparation method we can offer a ceramic coated surface to the highest quality available on the market today.
The coating is so hard after spraying that they can only be ground and polished by diamond wheels and tapes.
As part of our anilox roller refurbishment capacity we are also able to offer a stainless steel build up process to replace old copper plated deposits or as a repair to severely damaged rollers.
While the engraving system is the key area of the Anilox roller it is important to have a coating that is consistent. Using the latest GTV plasma technology our ceramic coatings have an increased hardness of up to 1600 Vickers.
